Love Letter


Hello there, stranger! 


       There's so many things I'd like to tell you tonight, but words fail me..as always! 
I stay up all night, stalking you! I see that you have changed, I see you smiling as you turn that alley. 
You don't sense my presence, but obviously! I cringe and fade into the shadows. Did I think this day would come? Sure. 
I knew hearts break, they shatter..but did it have to be you? I vow to be strong. Like I've been in the past, but heartbreak never brings with it courage. No, they never were compatible. *A single tear rolls down her cheek, she doesn't even reach to stop it*



...A feeling of dread
She wakes up in a cold sweat
A moment of blur, her breathing shallow

Suddenly, she feels a body next to hers
His protective arm around her waist
His steady heartbeat bringing her comfort

She shuts her eyes tightly for a minute
A tiny sigh escapes her ruby lips
"It was just a nightmare.."

She looks up at his face..and smiles
Huddling closer to him,
she traces his skin with her fingertips

Eyes still closed, He smiles a cheeky smile
He enfolds her into him,
Their bodies in a marriage of entangled sheets.

She rests her head on his rugged chest,
.."what took you so long?"
With one eye open, he whispers in her ear
.."I got here as fast as I could."

Chimichurri Heaven

“Three bunches of parsley?! Three huge bunches!” I cry out in disbelief from the mudroom. My tone seems to have no effect on my husband who casually strolls his way in my general direction. “Guess the shopper isn’t a culinary master like you,” comes his reply. We both burst out laughing over his weak attempt at wisecracking. Although I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with all this parsley, we were grateful to our shopper for replenishing our essentials. This was the first  time we had scheduled a grocery delivery instead of shopping ourselves. Also, the order was for three bunches of cilantro (haha). As I vigorously washed my parsley stockpile, I knew there was only one thing I wanted to make with this beast. And it would also give me the opportunity to use the fresh oregano from our herb garden. A beloved Argentinian condiment. And one of our favorites. CHIMICHURRI. No visit to a South American restaurant would be complete without us walking out with containers of this cheri

Advance Mother's Day Wishes

MOTHER:  " A  mother  is a  biological  and/or  social   female   parent  of an offspring. Because of the complexity and differences of the social, cultural, and religious definitions and roles, it is challenging to define a mother in a universally accepted definition." - As given by Wikipedia "It is challenging to define a mother in a universally accepted definition..." You bet!!  Mom, Maa, Amma, Madre,  Mère ... "What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would still smell as sweet." Its pointless for me to go on and on about how special Mothers are, or how fulfilling Mothers make our lives because anyone who has ever come across a Mother's Love know the feeling.
